Wall Growth Charts - Tracking Your Children's Growth

Children grow very quickly.
How do you keep track of their growth? You could measure their height with a pencil mark on a door, on a wall or the frame of a doorway.
But these methods have disadvantages.

If you paint the wall or door, you will lose the growth tracking for your children.
There is a quick, easy and fun way to keep track of your children's height over the years; wall growth charts. If you ever move, you can just take it with you.

Tracking your children's height is good for their health. For example; the Body Mass Index (BMI) is an indirect measure of body fat calculated as the ratio of a person's body weight in kilograms to the square of a person's height in meters.

It is used to assess underweight, overweight, and risk for overweight.

Though it does not actually measure the percentage of body fat, it is a useful tool to estimate a healthy body weight based on how tall a person is. Tracking height can help to detect growth disorders and treat them.

Although the treatment of a growth problem usually isn't an urgent situation, earlier diagnosis and treatment may help kids catch up with peers. If you are concerned about your child's growth, visit his or her doctor.
Depending on the findings of the examination, the doctor may refer your child to a pediatric endocrinologist, who can help diagnose and treat specific growth disorders.

No child grows at a perfectly steady rate throughout childhood.
Weeks or months of slightly slower growth, alternate with growth spurts in normal children.

Kids tend to grow a bit faster in the spring than during other times of the year.
What parents can do? You can do a few things to help ensure that your child grows and develops normally; ensure they have enough rest, proper nutrition, and adequate exercise.

You should keep tracking of their growth too.

Keeping track of your children growth with a wall growth chart can be fun.

You can place them in their room wall.

They can be beautiful decor for your kid's room. They can be large colorful wall art your kids will have fun with while watching themselves grow. Carla Daly's growth charts are laminated, durable prints that are removable from your wall.
